On Friday, December 4th, Oracle will be performing at the annual black tie gala affectionately known as "The Holly Ball"

Sponsored by the Severn Town Club, this annual holiday event is a benefit with proceeds going primarily to Scholarships for Scholars.

Scholarships for Scholars was established by the superintendent of the Anne Arundel County Public Schools in 1983 for the purpose of awarding scholarships to graduating high school senior scholars who are county residents attending public and accredited private high schools in Anne Arundel County. The scholarships are awarded each year to students who have demonstrated exceptional abilities in specific disciplines and who have also contributed to their schools and to the community-at-large. The nonprofit organization is administered by a Board of Trustees comprised of distinguished Maryland citizens. Funds for the scholarships are provided from interest generated by invested escheat funds from estates within Anne Arundel County and private contributions.

We all know that these days funds are tighter than ever, and in a day where we are importing so much technical talent from overseas it is vitally important that we nurture and encourage our own exceptional students right here at home.

Ticket Information

Tickets for this event are $150 per person, and a table of 10 earns a sponsorship mention.  Of this ticket price $90 is tax deductible, something we can all use as the year draws to a close.  Why not join us and help a worthwhile cause?

One of the highlights for the evening will be the silent auction.  With auction items ranging from $25 to over $1000, there will be something for everyone, and let's not forget that the holidays are fast approaching!  Not a bad way to get the holiday shopping off to a great start, eh?

If you happen to have an item that you would like to donate to the auction, the organizing committee will be more than happy to speak with you about it.  No reason why we can't add even more to that end of the year tax deduction by donating to the cause!

In addition to the music and dancing there will of course be a fabulous Filet and Shrimp dinner offered up by the exceptional chef at the Sheraton, a complimentary formal photograph prepared on the spot for you courtesy of Buxton Photography, a boutique featuring 20 local vendors, and silent auction theme baskets.  An open bar will be available throughout the event.
